Arthur Pendragon is the overarching protagonist in the 2012-2020 fantasy Manga/Anime series The Seven Deadly Sins and the main antagonist of its 2021 sequel Manga/Anime series Four Knights of the Apocalypse.

He is the king of Camelot who wields his signature weapon, the Excalibur. After slaying the monstrous beast known as Cath Palug, he becomes the host of Chaos, earning the title King of Chaos. Throughout the next 16 years, he becomes corrupted and desires genocide upon all other races, beginning his tyrannical reign of Camelot and rivalry on the Four Knights of the Apocalypse and the Seven Deadly Sins.

He is voiced by Sachi Kokuryu in Japanese and by Zach Aguilar in English, the latter of whom also voices Riku from Yashahime.

Appearance[]

Arthur has messy and spiky orange hair with a cowlick over the right side of his face. He has a young appearance even with 32 years old. He usually wears white clothing with golden line on it's front with flowers decorating it and it's wrists. He has his right arm missing due to his battle with Cath and sometimes has a dark armored arm with a tattoo of Cath on it's fist.

Arthur was once a kind, naive and optimistic warrior who strove to become a great Holy Knight who would create a peaceful world for all to live in. After 16 years of being possessed by Chaos, however, he has developed a misanthropic view of other species, believing they must be eliminated from the world. He has also become somewhat sad*stic as he is willing to torture his knight, Ironside, for failing to murder a child and sacrificing a village then laughing and undoing his injuries.
