Luoyang Float Glass Group of China has successfully produced 25-mm-thick float glass in quantities with the specific Luoyang float grass technique. Chinese glass experts claimed that it is the world“s thickest float glass ever made and the technique is on a par with the world“s most advanced producers. To improve the competitive capacity of the Luoyang float glass technique, the group spent 400 million building the second generation float glass production line with a daily melting capacity of 600 tons in 1997. The largest size of the 25 mm float glass made by the Luoyang Float Glass Group, is 12 meters long and 4.2 meters wide.
