Has any of the Friends cast died? ›

Actor James Michael Tyler, who played Gunther in the hit TV sitcom 'Friends' has died aged 59. The actor died after battling cancer for a prolonged period of time. Tyler may not have had the same screen time as the six other actors on 'Friends', but he made his character Gunther memorable.

Anne Haddy and Cathy Godblod, who played fan favourites Helen Daniels and Sondra Pike respectively, along with Miranda Fryer, are just three of the stars to have died in the decades since the soap first aired.

In the final scene, Ross is reassuring his mother that he's not dead and when she says she'd be childless if he died, reminds her of Monica.

Despite it giving her immense fame and its popularity, Jennifer Aniston had almost quit FRIENDS before season 10! The actress revealed the reason for doing so. Our beloved Rachel told NBC, “I had a couple of issues that I was dealing with. I wanted it to end when people still loved us, and we were on a high.”
