At a height of 330m, the Eiffel Tower is a 19th-century engineering marvel, the design of which was inspired by the Latting Observatory in New York City. Made of wrought iron, this iconic structure was built to be the centerpiece of the World Fair exhibition organized to mark the centenary of the French Revolution in 1889.
The Tower consists of the Esplanade and three levels, including the Summit that offers breathtaking views of the City of Lights and its several landmarks including the Seine River, the Grand Palace, the Louvre, Montmartre, and the Notre-Dame de Paris, to name a few.
