Museum Style - The Broad (1)

The other half took me to The Broadmuseum for my birthday back in October. Museums are always enjoyable because they spark inspiration, teach culture and history. For a museum day, I like to dress freely, comfortably and uniquely. As just a guest, museums usually don’t have any sort of dress code. However, getting dressed is apart of the experience! You will probably take pictures, meet people and most likely get something to eat before or after. All good reasons to dress your best and show off your individuality in your outfit.

Here’s 5 LCM Tips on What to Wear to a Museum

1. Comfortable Shoes

Always expect a lot of walking when going to any museum.

2. Day to Night

Wear something that you can easily throw a jacket over, or change shoes without ruining your look. #WearingWhoYouArethroughout the day is important. We want to remain comfortable and happy throughout our day don’t we? The outfit plays a big part. 😉

3. Wear Fun Jewelry (The cool stuff you may not be wearing to work.)

I got my feather earrings from Native Sol in Long Beach.

4. Go All out or… Not.

I didn’t dress as flamboyant or bright as I may at other times for similar events. However, an art museum day is the PERFECT day to wear some of your louder, statement making and noticeable pieces. I chose a simple Fit Femme look. Typical!

5. Carry A Small Purse, Bag or Backpack

Sometimes we carry large purses around and they quickly become heavy and overbearing. Pack as light as you can, and leave the big bag with all your other outfit changes, substitutions and make-up in the trunk. You will be happy when you realize how easy it is to just whip out your phone for a picture when there’s not much else in your purse.
