Pokemon Legends: Arceus players discuss their disappointment after completing all of the game's quests and receiving nothing as a reward.
Pokemon players are completionists by nature. The Pokemon Company fostered this culture within the community with decades of "Gotta Catch 'em All" marketing. It's no surprise then that Pokemon Legends: Arceus players are racing to complete the game, whether that means collecting all of Arceus' Pokemon or finishing all the game's quests. Needless to say, those Pokemon Legends: Arceus players weren't pleased to find that completing all the game's quests doesn't come with any kind of reward.
Players on Reddit within the Pokemon Legends: Arceus community are commiserating over their disappointment. A post with the title "Completed every Quest Got nothing" included a GIF from Naked Gun 33 1/3 where dozens of people slap their foreheads. It's a simple way of conveying what a dumb decision it is on Nintendo's part not to include any reward for the accomplishment. Needless to say, the person who posted the Reddit thread isn't the only one to be frustrated with the decision.

One comment joked that the thread poster did get a reward, "a sense of accomplishment!" Others joked that the reward was "the friends we made along the way." Outside the humorous responses, another question is whether it means Pokemon Legends: Arceus will be offering DLC, so Game Freak didn't want to offer any concluding elements to the story. It wasn't ready to decide what was coming next.
To be fair to Game Freak, the quests in Pokemon Legends: Arceus to offer plenty of content and reward, in and of themselves. There are 20 core missions in Pokemon Legends: Arceus before the game's credits roll. Then there are an additional 8 unlocked allowing the player to challenge powerful Legendary Pokemon, including Arceus itself. Completing those even unlocks the ability to re-challenge Dialga, Palkia, and Arceus, on top of the five Noble Pokemon. It's just that completing every quest, including the 94 requests, won't acknowledge the player's work.
Pokemon Legends: Arceus does offer a reward for completing the game's Pokedex and capturing all in-game Pokemon. Players get a Shiny Charm, which should improve their chances of acquiring shiny Pokemon. It's also part of being able to capture Arceus itself, though capturing Arceus doesn't come with any extra acknowledgement or reward, either.
All that can be said is Pokemon Legends: Arceus is a very big game. Game Freak filled it with a lot of content, but clearly making a reward for every event or accomplishment may have been asking too much. At least it doesn't give the player a golden pile of poop, like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild does for finding all 900 Korok Seeds.
Pokemon Legends: Arceus is available now on Nintendo Switch.
