What does event production include? ›

Event production is the technological and creative execution of an event using sound, lighting, video, design, and more to control the atmosphere, mood, and emotion of attendees.

Oversee catering and meal needs for staff and vendors. Organize and manage all production (and sometimes, site and/or artist) ground transportation and the runners hired to drive the vehicles. For smaller events, may also oversee two way radio and/or golf cart distribution. Help out with printing and signage needs.

Reporting to the Concert Production Manager, the Production Assistant will work to maintain the concert operations safely and attend to the incoming artist needs. The producer aims to suss out critical information for the show: additional equipment requirements (like amplifiers, microphones, lights, or instruments); the artist's needs relating to backstage setup, catering, and hospitality; the timetable for the day of the event; and any other pertinent information.

The most important element to a festival is safety. Being the most vital aspect of the equation, it is imperative festivals need organization of security, EMTs, resource accessibility and open space - providing a safe and secure environment.
