Power Book IV: Starz releases trailer for Force series
Power Book II: Ghost has been airing on Starz and Starzplay and the season two finale featured some major twists. In the final moments, a gunshot that was meant for Mecca (played by Daniel Sunjata) ended up killing Zeke (Daniel Bellomy). The star spoke out about his final scenes, but why did he leave?

The explosive season two finale said goodbye to a couple of stars as both Mecca and Zeke lost their lives.
The latest season saw Zeke die as a result of stubbornness and hunger for power.
He has a tough time being related to Monet (Mary J Blige) and Mecca, not knowing what he had been thrown into until it was too late.
Speaking to Deadline, the actor said: "At that moment, death was his salvation. This is a world where innocents cannot survive.
"He was enslaved to his family in terms of, if you remember in season one, we talk about how Monet’s word is law.

"Sometimes people really are just that good and just want to lift people up. He paid for that."
Death was not always on the cards for Zeke, as he could have run away from his toxic family.
However, he chased after his mother which led to his untimely demise.
The star continued: "I’m so sad that Zeke had to go because I love him so much, but as much as one wants to be gangsta on Power, he was just so innocent and so good."
Bellomy confirmed his character would not be returning, but he did not go into detail about why he left the show.

What is known is that Bellomy had no idea his character would die until the season was almost at an end.
He said: "Usually when a character’s journey is coming to a close on Power, they tell you about in the middle of the prior episode.
"It’s Power and it’s a game. I had an amazing experience working on the show and I’m incredibly grateful to have been on this journey with Zeke, who has given me so much.
"And I’m also grateful to the cast who really set an example for each other, and for those who had the experience before me for showing me how to navigate this experience while holding onto your own agency and you’re own power. The journey continues.”
With this in mind, his character's death seems to have been a directorial decision.

However, there was no bad blood when the actor departed and he was proud to have been involved in the series.
Zeke was murdered by Lorenzo Tejada (Berto Colon) in a case of mistaken identity.
He had been planning to get away after the revelation that his aunt Monet was really his birth mother.
Lorenzo thought he was killing Mecca, Zeke’s father, but he was wrong.
Fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on the star's exit.

There are still some viewers who believe the character is still alive.
Sadly, Bellomy confirmed Zeke would not return as a ghost in the next season.
