Any titan that eats a titan shifter should aquire their properties and change back to human. Why didn't it happen with the titan that ate eren in season 1. This is bothering me from over a month.

The Titan swallowed him. Mindless titans arent that smart- whilst they have an instinctive to chew, they don't really check if the food is actually chewed and not just missing a limb or two. I believe its happened before; I cant recall though. Anyway, on the way down since Eren intercepted that with his arm and getting immensely lucky, the titan never ingested the raw spinal fluid that he would've gotten if he just chewed his food.
Tldr; unlucky

Titan shifting power is transmitted by the consumption of spinal fluid. The Titan failed to drink eren and thus never became one of the 9 Titans. Cucked over by plot.

If he had crushed his spine, we'd see a giant old man attack Titan.
In simple terms, Eren didn't die so titan doesn't get power
If it had been that way, there could’ve been a different future, too.

Because the titan's mom forgot to teach him to chew his food.
