Is the space inside a black hole infinite?
The singularity at the center of a black hole is the ultimate no man's land: a place where matter is compressed down to an infinitely tiny point, and all conceptions of time and space completely break down.
Isn't that what people call black holes? It is, in fact, and some physicists say they could be one and the same: The singularity in every black hole might give birth to a baby universe. There's no reason to think our universe is any different.
According to general relativity, the inward gravitational collapse never stops. Even though, from the outside, the black hole appears to stay a constant size, expanding slightly only when new things fall into it, its interior volume grows bigger and bigger all the time as space stretches toward the center point.
Eventually, as the universe ages, the material around a black hole will run out and its doomsday clock will start ticking. As a black hole evaporates, it slowly shrinks and, as it loses mass, the rate of particles escaping also increases until all the remaining energy escapes at once.
Black holes have a finite lifetime due to the emission of Hawking radiation. However, for most known astrophysical black holes, the time it would take to completely evaporate and disappear is far longer than the current age of the universe.
At the center of a black hole the gravity is so strong that, according to general relativity, space-time becomes so extremely curved that ultimately the curvature becomes infinite. This results in space-time having a jagged edge, beyond which physics no longer exists -- the singularity.
Inside what's known as the black hole's event horizon, not even light itself can escape from a black hole. But that doesn't mean that black holes will live forever; on the contrary, they slowly decay away due to a phenomenon known as Hawking radiation.
The trite answer is that both space and time were created at the big bang about 14 billion years ago, so there is nothing beyond the universe. However, much of the universe exists beyond the observable universe, which is maybe about 90 billion light years across.
New black hole simulations that incorporate quantum gravity indicate that when a black hole dies, it produces a gravitational shock wave that radiates information, a finding that could solve the information paradox.
In other words, the study suggests black holes might actually burrow into a kind of multidimensional object called a brane, and give birth to an entirely new universe in another colossally big bang.
Can you be immortal in a black hole?
No, you do not become immortal flying into a black hole. Rather, you become dead.
Anything outside this surface —including astronauts, rockets, or light—can escape from the black hole. But once this surface is crossed, nothing can escape, regardless of its speed, because of the strong gravitational pull toward the center of the black hole.
It is incredibly unlikely a black hole will hit Earth. This is mainly because of the sheer distance they are from us, with the Milky Way's black hole 26,000 light years away, so there's no danger of being pulled in.
No, black holes are not portals to another dimension. If you cross the event horizon of a black hole, your are doomed to follow a trajectory to the singularity at the center.
Since nothing can escape from the gravitational force of a black hole, it was long thought that black holes are impossible to destroy. But we now know that black holes actually evaporate, slowly returning their energy to the Universe.

Time travel is possible – theoretically, for elementary particles with an accelerator one billion kilometres long. Teleportation and travelling forwards through time may be possible through wormholes, the bipolar black holes that link different regions of the universe.
In a new study, Stanford physicists Andrei Linde and Vitaly Vanchurin have calculated the number of all possible universes, coming up with an answer of 10^10^16.
Can space be torn?
If dark energy remains unchanging, space will expand indefinitely while increasingly isolated stars will slowly fade away and go cold, a phenomenon referred to as Heat Death. And if dark energy keeps accelerating the expansion of the universe, space itself will eventually be torn apart in the Big Rip.
According to NASA, time travel is possible, just not in the way you might expect. Albert Einstein's theory of relativity says time and motion are relative to each other, and nothing can go faster than the speed of light, which is 186,000 miles per second. Time travel happens through what's called “time dilation.”
When they reach the singularity, they are crushed to infinite density and their mass is added to the total of the black hole. Before that happens, they will have been torn apart by the growing tidal forces in a process sometimes referred to as spaghettification or the "noodle effect".

Do wormholes exist?
Wormholes are shortcuts in spacetime, popular with science fiction authors and movie directors. They've never been seen, but according to Einstein's general theory of relativity, they might exist.
The rules of time and space (the space-time continuum, as many scientists put it) do not apply to single points. It's amazing, though nearly impossible to visualize. That is why all concepts regarding objects in black holes are mostly theoretical; it defies the laws that pertain to our reality.
Scientists have therefore started creating artificial black holes inside labs to study their properties. And one such experiment, carried out by scientists at the Technion- Israel Institute of Technology, has proved that Stephen Hawking had been right about black holes all along.
As of February 2022, only one isolated black hole has been detected, around 5,200 light-years away. For comparison, the nearest star to the Sun is about 4.24 light years away, and the Milky Way galaxy is approximately 105000 light years in diameter.
The closest you can get to a black hole is and maintain a stable orbit is 1.5 times the Swartzchild's Radius. Turns out at that distance the gravitational time dilation is only a factor of 1.73. So in the 1 year you orbiting the black hole, the Earth will age less than 2 years.
Nothing escapes a black hole. Any trip into a black hole would be one way. The gravity is too strong and you could not go back in space and time to return home. Aside from this, your body would be stretched and destroyed by the warping of space and the amount of radiation surrounding the event horizon.
Time indeed slows down around a black hole according to Stephen Hawking. Now this phenomenon happens because of the super gravitational force of the black hole. What would happen if you send a nuke into a black hole? Nothing. Even if it did explode, the energy released in a “nuke” explosion is irrelevant compared to the energy in a Black Hole. The chances are that it would just be torn apart without exploding.
Fortunately, this has never happened to anyone — black holes are too far away to pull in any matter from our solar system.
The most powerful supernova yet recorded (ASSASN-15lh) was 22 trillion times more explosive than a black hole will be in its final moments. It doesn't matter how small or how massive a black hole is, their closing fireworks are exactly the same. The only difference is how long it will take a black hole to explode.

When a star burns through the last of its fuel, the object may collapse, or fall into itself. For smaller stars (those up to about three times the sun's mass), the new core will become a neutron star or a white dwarf. But when a larger star collapses, it continues to compress and creates a stellar black hole.
This energy takes the form of a slow-but-steady stream of radiation and particles that came to be known as Hawking radiation. With every bit of energy that escapes, the black hole loses mass and thereby shrinks, eventually popping out of existence altogether.
Answer: Much of the matter that a black hole attracts forms an accretion disk of matter rotating around the black hole. The matter in this accretion disk gets heated-up due to friction between all of the matter in the disk, which ultimately results in the release of energy.

We might be the product of another, older universe. Call it our mother universe. The seed this mother universe forged inside a black hole may have had its big bounce 13.8 billion years ago, and even though our universe has been rapidly expanding ever since, we could still be hidden behind a black hole's event horizon.
In short, space-time would contain the entire history of reality, with each past, present or future event occupying a clearly determined place in it, from the very beginning and for ever. The past would therefore still exist, just as the future already exists, but somewhere other than where we are now present.
There's a limit to how much of the universe we can see. The observable universe is finite in that it hasn't existed forever. It extends 46 billion light years in every direction from us. (While our universe is 13.8 billion years old, the observable universe reaches further since the universe is expanding).
How much space is in a black hole?
These black holes are very large and contain the same amount of material as 100 million or more suns. These types of black holes are several million miles across.
In the beginning, there was an infinitely dense, tiny ball of matter. Then, it all went bang, giving rise to the atoms, molecules, stars and galaxies we see today.
According to Einstein's General Relativity, which is our best current description of space and time, the only place where time – and also space – ends is in a so-called singularity. This involves gravitational forces becoming so intense that space and time lose all meaning.

To make a black hole, one must concentrate mass or energy sufficiently that the escape velocity from the region in which it is concentrated exceeds the speed of light. Some extensions of present physics posit the existence of extra dimensions of space.
