Does the Seattle Art Museum have parking?
The entrance to the parking garage is on Union Street (between First and Second Avenues), adjacent to the SAM building. The parking garage is ADA-accessible; its elevator operates between the garage levels and the street level, which is around the corner from the museum's main entrance. Garage height limit is 6'7".
Though not as grand or world-class as the Louvre or the Met, the Seattle Art Museum is home to a wonderful collection of art old and new from artists around the globe. We think it's the ideal size: large enough to wander for a two-hour visit or longer, but not so huge that it's overwhelming.

Museum regular free days
First Thursday, also known as the most awesome day of the month, is the day you can enjoy free admission to many museums. The list includes the Museum of History & Industry (5-8 p.m.), the Burke Museum and the National Nordic Museum.

We're looking forward to welcoming you to the museum! Admission to the Frye is always free. A limited number of self-check lockers are available on a first-come-first-served basis.
Is the museum of pop culture worth it?
According to recent visitors, the interactive exhibits appeal to a variety of ages, and the museum is worth spending a couple of hours exploring. Those traveling with teenagers in particular said the museum provided quality entertainment for that fickle age group.
Seattle's museums are eager to welcome you.
You'll find a few changes: some are still encouraging the advance purchase of timed tickets, and hours and access to certain galleries may be limited. Masks are optional at most locations.
Seattle parking isn't as notoriously difficult to find or expensive as NYC or LA, but the city saw nearly 300K official parking infractions in 2021! It's the classic 'too many cars but not enough parking spots' dilemma here as well.
Get an hour of parking for free at the Public Market Garage, which is part of the low-rate program where you can park for $3/hour up to 4 hours. You can get four hours of parking free in select Pioneer Square garages during First Thursdays. Park for free when you visit Pioneer Square's First Thursday art walk!
Street parking is free between 6 or 8PM-8AM, but finding a spot can be difficult if you're in a highly trafficked area.
