In the years of Western movies, Scott rode a palomino horse named Stardust. He was inducted into the Hall of Great Western Performers of the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in 1975.
The beautiful Stardust was a palomino American Saddlebred. A fan once wrote to Scott asking if Stardust was a Haflinger due to his striking golden color, but Scott confirmed that his equine co-star was indeed a Saddlebred.
