After Nolan suggested combining Imax with the 35mm anamorphic format on The Dark Knight, he and Pfister shot a series of Imax tests in Nolan's backyard, then put the camera in the back of a pickup truck and shot a night test on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood using only existing light.
Well… an important thing is that the film was shot using anamorphic lenses, which precludes IMAX framing. As such, The Batman will not feature an IMAX expanded aspect ratio and the whole movie will be projected at a standard 2.39:1 aspect ratio.

"We looked at shooting Inception in 3D and decided we'd be too restricted by the technology," said Nolan in the interview. "We wouldn't have been able to shoot on film the way we'd like to. We looked at post-converting it, actually did some tests, and they were very good.

IMAX, to my great surprise, is better for sound. The Dolby sound was fine, but nothing special. The IMAX sound washed over me crescendo after crescendo, very impressive. Most surprising of all, IMAX sound was better in the bass registers.
The Batman is rated PG-13 for violence and disturbing content, but it's fairly light on gore. There is little, if any, blood to be found throughout the film, save for a couple of instances of dried blood at a crime scene or on someone's face.
