What is open in Paris on a Monday?
The Louvre and most other museums are open on Monday. The Orsay and Versailles are closed.

There are no roving markets on Mondays, but stores are open. (Many stores are closed on Sunday, but then there are markets!) The Seine cruises, Tour Montparnasse, various local tours (Paris Vision, Cityrama... ) and other fun types of things are open daily. More is open than closed on Mondays.
National museums are open on Mondays. Paris city museums (orsay) are closed. The National Library - Bibliotheque Nationale - usually has interesting exhibits at both the old (Blvd Richelieu) and the new (Francois Mitterand) locations. Richelieu is open on Mondays, Mitterand only on Monday afternoons.
The reason lies in France's enshrined labour code, the Code du Travail, which was first published in 1910. The Code du Travail used to say that it was illegal for anyone to work more that six days a week and that workers should have 35 consecutive hours of rest.
You won't need to calculate a tip. As opposed to the U.S., where most waiters make their living from tips, servers in Paris are paid a living wage. And since service is already included in the price, no one is expecting you to tack on an additional 15 to 25 percent at the end of the meal.
From May 31, 2020, the cathedral's parvis is accessible to the public, a first step towards the full reopening of Notre-Dame. The archaeological crypt is once again open to visitors. However, the cathedral's towers and treasures will be closed to the public until further notice.
It is possible for the shops located on the Avenue des Champs-Élysées and other tourist areas to also open on Sundays. Opening hours on Sunday are from 11 am to 7 pm approximately.

Is everything closed in Paris on Sunday?
Contrary to popular belief, most of the city stays open on Sunday, including restaurants and cafes, museums, monuments, bakeries, etc. Most shops and some supermarkets are a noteworthy exception, as explained further down. In less tourist-heavy areas, too, you'll be more likely to see things closed on Sunday.
Particularly in small provincial towns, many shops are closed on Monday morning - so don't plan a big shopping trip on a Monday morning if you are on holiday in rural France. A lot of French provincial museums and monuments are also closed on Mondays.

What are bank opening hours in France? Most banks are open Monday to Friday from 08:30-17:30 but note that most of them will close at 12.00- 14.00 for lunch. Some banks are open Saturday morning and closed on Mondays, try to check in advance if a bank will be open when you want/need it to be.
Museums open on Mondays
Several museums are open and can be visited on Mondays in Seine Saint Denis such as the Art and History Museum in Saint-Denis. You will not be disappointed! You can walk in the Parc de la Villette but the Cité des Sciences and the Philharmonie Museum (Musée de la Musique) will be closed!
Just about everything is open on Pentecost Monday except for schools, banks, post offices and administrations. hm. interesting. It used to be a holiday, then it ceased to be one not many years ago.
