What is the new name of IHG?
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) is beginning the year anew as IHG Hotels & Resorts. The brand's stated purpose is “True Hospitality for Good,” and this renewal is designed to reflect that.
At Holiday Inn Express® hotels we keep it simple and smart. As IHG's biggest hotel brand, we're first choice for the increasing number of travellers who need a simple, engaging place to rest, recharge and get a little work done.
IHG and Iberostar have launched a new strategic alliance, whereby Iberostar Beachfront Resorts are being added as IHG's 18th hotel brand. The first set of hotels have just been integrated into the program, and it's expected that by 2024, up to 70 Iberostar properties will participate in IHG One Rewards.
Marriott Bonvoy is Marriott's loyalty rewards program, and Marriott is an entirely separate company from IHG (the InterContinental Hotels Group), which has its own loyalty program, IHG Rewards.
IHG Rewards Club is the old name for the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) loyalty program, which was used until 2021. IHG Rewards Club was rebranded as IHG Rewards in early 2021 to promote a more welcoming and inclusive image.
IHG One Rewards points expire 12 months after inactivity for non-elite members. To reset the points' expiration, you need to earn or redeem at least one point, which we detail below. But if you are an IHG elite member, points do not expire.
Marriott owns Fairfield, TownePlace and Moxy; Hilton owns Curio, DoubleTree, Tru and Hampton; Intercontinental owns Holiday Inn, Candlewood and Hotel Indigo, to name a few.
IHG® One Rewards is the loyalty rewards program for the InterContinental Hotels Group, whereas the Hilton Honors loyalty rewards program is exclusive to Hilton Hotels and its affiliated properties. IHG and Hilton are not affiliated.
