Will there ever be a Ratatouille 2?
A Ratatouille sequel remains frustratingly elusive, and a 2018 interview with writer-director Brad Bird reveals why Ratatouille 2 will likely never happen. Pixar is no stranger when it comes to sequels and franchises, but not every Pixar movie receives the franchise treatment like Toy Story and Cars did.
In June 2018, Brad Bird spoke with io9 about possible sequels to some of his movies, like Ratatouille and The Iron Giant. Bird expressed disinterest in making more Ratatouille content because “that story is told,” and The Incredibles 2 director also said, “No one apparently wants anything new anymore.
A mantra often repeated throughout the film is that “anyone can cook,” which is explained at the end to mean that not everyone has talent, but that talent can come from anywhere.
Ratatouille and Remy probably won't help you become a world-class chef. And they probably can't defeat an intergalactic starfish, but they would still make a great addition to your family! Remy and Ratatouille are 1-year-old brother-sister pair. Ratatouille is a boy and Remy is a girl.
Ratatouille 2 (2009): Linguini and Colette plan to get married, unaware that a rat named Arnaud is attempting to sabotage the kitchen of their new restaurant. Remy and his family try to stop Arnaud's mischief while also trying to keep it from interfering with their human friends' big day. Directed by Brad Bird.
Chef Linguini is thought to be about 19, and Collette is though to be 26!
Remy the Rat
How does Remy compare to an actual every-day sewer rat? Well, Norway rats will eat ANYTHING, but they favor cereal grains, nuts, and fruits.
If you look closely, the female rat who is listening to Remy about his story at the end and asks how did he know about Ego being happier than he was as a critic is the same rat Remy, as the clan's "poison checker", says that the mushroom she picked is "close to godliness" at the beginning of the movie.
Sadly, Skinner discovered the rat infestation and "ratted them out" to the health department, who promptly closed Gusteau's as a direct result.
Brad Garrett as Auguste Gusteau, the recently deceased founder of his respective restaurant of the same name, inspired by real-life chef Bernard Loiseau, who died of a broken heart after his restaurant, La Côte d'Or, lost a star.
What is the famous line from Ratatouille?
Remy: “Change is nature, Dad. The part that we can influence. And it starts when we decide.”
Linguini is the son of Auguste Gusteau and Renata Linguini. He knows nothing about cooking, which can be seen from the many Chinese take-out cartons in his refrigerator and his lack of cooking skills and knowledge. He is attracted to Colette, the only female cook in the kitchen.

Linguini's name is based on two Italian dishes: Alfredo is a type of cream sauce used in pasta dishes, whereas Linguini is a type of pasta. Linguini is the first named character to be born out of wedlock in Disney.
At the entrance of Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, there is a clock, a Virtual Queue sign, and a Lighting Lane sign. In the framework of the metal, on both sides of each sign as well as both sides of the clock, there is a tilted Hidden Mickey.
Remy is Autistic. That means Remy's brain works differently to my brain. I love that Remy is different to me, because Remy can teach me new ways to experience the world. Remarkable Remy is a warm and optimistic story that introduces an Autistic character to a young audience.
Desiree is one of the minor characters in Your Friend the Rat. She is Remy's mother.
Mabel loves to cook, proven by her collection of many different foods, and is always seen watching Gusteau on the television. She also owns Gusteau's famous cookbook: Anyone Can Cook, which is always left in the kitchen, causing Remy to visit her kitchen regularly.
His stories included defrauding a major corporation, robbing the second largest bank in France with only a ballpoint pen, creating an ozone hole over Avignon, and killing a man with his right thumb.
Ego then loses his job and credibility as a critic when Gusteau's is closed down due to the presence of rats, but now leads a successful and a happy life as a small time business investor and regular patron of the small bistro La Ratatouille, with queues around the block and where the cook is a small rat.
Who is Linguini's mother?
Renata Linguini is Linguini's deceased mother and Gusteau's former lover. Before the start of the movie, she entered into an affair with Gusteau and eventually became pregnant, presumably ending the relationship afterwards.
Chef Skinner is the main antagonist of Pixar's 8th full-length animated feature film Ratatouille.
“Ratatouille” follows the life of a rat, Remy, from the rural countryside of France to the beautiful city of Paris. The movie also shows how a human, Linguini, who leads a normal life in Paris, is soon sent for the adventures of love and friendship that the city of Paris has in store for him.
Character information
Remy (also known as Little Chef) is the protagonist of Disney•Pixar's 2007 animated feature film, Ratatouille. He is a bluish-gray rat from Paris with a passion for food, and dreams of becoming a professional chef.
A classic ratatouille includes eggplant (aubergines), zucchini (courgettes), bell peppers, tomatoes, onions, garlic, olive oil and herbs. Its name is a combination of the French word “rata” meaning a stew with whole pieces and the verb “touiller” which means to stir, toss, or mix.
