What are some interesting facts about the Titanic Belfast? ›

The entire external façade is clad in 3,000 individual silver anodized aluminium shards enhanced by reflective pools of water surrounding the structure. Titanic Belfast® has the longest freespan escalator on the island. At over 25 metres (82ft) long, it has 124 steps and provides access to the top floor Titanic Suites.

The sinking of the Titanic was factual (unlike the fictional movie) but also moving, as it should be. Absolutely fascinating. This is a must see for anyone visiting Belfast and with even a remote interest in the story of Titanic. The first galleries tell the background & history of the city.

How long will my visit take? As the Titanic Experience is a self-guided tour, the duration does depend upon pace and level of interest of our customers, however an average visit lasts 1½ - 2½ hours. This is normally followed by 30mins - 1 hour on board SS Nomadic.

Titanic Belfast is only 2.4km (1.5 miles) away from Belfast City Centre - a pleasant 25-30 minute walk. Download our Walking Route Map. Vehicles approaching Belfast on the M1 or M2 should follow the signs to Belfast City Airport M3, taking the first exit for Titanic Quarter.

Titanic Belfast is an 8-storey visitor attraction on the edge of the slipways where RMS Titanic was constructed more than a hundred years ago.
