To reset your password please click here and select "Reset or forgot password". We will then ask you to enter the email address which is associated with your National Gallery account.

We will then send you an email with a link to update your password.

When choosing a new password please make sure it is at least 6 characters long and includes 1 uppercase letter, 1 lower case letter, 1 number and 1 special character (? or !)


Yes. To benefit from free guest entry for exhibitions and events or to upgrade your Membership by visiting us in the Gallery at one of our desks or emailing the Membership Team at Membership@nationalgallery.org.uk


You can renew your Membership online, sign in to your Membership account using your email address and password and follow the links to Membership. Or email the Membership Team at Membership@nationalgallery.org.uk

If you pay by Direct Debit your Membership will be renewed automatically each year at the discounted rate (you will receive notice in advance of your renewal).


We do not offer concessions on Memberships. We do however have two different membership types: Member, and Member & Guest. You can save £10 if you pay by Direct Debit.


Members who require a free carer ticket can book one online through the specific exhibition page. Sign in to your account and select a Disabled Person’s Carer ticket.

Alternatively, Members can collect one on the day of their visit from our desks.

Gift Memberships can be purchased online, at the Gallery or by emailing the Membership Team at Membership@nationalgallery.org.uk

If you purchase a Gift Membership online we will send you an email which you can share with the recipient. If you don’t have a National Gallery account we will ask that you register with us. The email we will send you explains how the recipient can activate their Membership and start enjoying the benefits straight away. Gift Memberships bought online or on in the Gallery can be activated up to 6 months after the purchase date.

Alternatively, if you purchase a Gift Membership at the Gallery, we will give you a voucher to share along with instructions so the recipient can activate their Membership and start enjoying the benefits straightaway.

To activate your Gift Membership or Membership voucher, please follow these four steps:

1. Visit our Membership activation page and select your Membership type – and link through.
2. Add to your basket
3. Create or sign in to your account
4. When you check out, you will be able to apply your unique Gift Membership voucher code and start enjoying all the benefits.

Once activated, a temporary Membership card will be emailed for immediate use. A welcome pack and permanent Membership card will follow in the post.

Please note: Gift Memberships must be activated within three months of the date of purchase.


The activation code is made up of both letters and numbers, so please make sure you have typed the code correctly.

Yes - all visits must be booked online and in advance. If you have a Member + Guest account and would like to bring a guest to the Gallery, please ensure you book a ticket for yourself and your guest(s).
