How to perform a software update on your TV (2024)

Updating your TV withthe latest software allows you to access the newest features and fixes specific problems.

IMPORTANT:

• Read the instructions carefully.
• Don't turn the TV OFF or disconnect it from the AC power outlet while it's updating.
• Don't press any buttons, except the ones mentioned in the instructions.
• Stop any recording before you begin a firmware update.

Before you start

• Your TV must be connected to the internet to receive and install software updates directly. However, if your TV doesn't have internet access, you can also download the update file to a computer, savethe file to a USB flash drive, and use the flash drive to install the update on your TV. Depending on the model, you may also be able to receive the latest software via broadcast.
